A handheld camera tracks through dark corridors as a cloying smell intensifies; floors look warped, walls appear eaten away, and the audio lingers on distant drips and uneasy static. The escalation ends with the source of that scent stepping into view: Mega Victreebel.

While the genre-themed teaser is fun, it’s a clear signal of where Pokémon Legends: Z-A is headed. The official materials paired with the teaser confirm Mega Victreebel as part of the game and describe its body as swollen with sweet-smelling acid, an on-brand detail that explains the corroded surfaces shown on camera. The teaser also reinforces that Mega Evolution is back at the heart of the experience, teeing up encounters where investigative threads can lead directly into high-stakes clashes with Mega-evolved threats.
