Jump Space Sets Official Early Access Date with a New Trailer

Keepsake Games has locked in a date for its rebranded space co-op adventure: Jump Space enters Steam Early Access on September 19, 2025.

The new release-date trailer—debuting during the Future Games Show at gamescom—frames the core loop with crisp beats: you and up to three friends crew a ship, juggle power and systems, scramble outside for emergency fixes, and drop into first-person gunfights before sprinting back to the bridge to frame a getaway.

Keepsake Games

Formerly known as Jump Ship, the project shifts to the broader-sounding Jump Space—and the rename arrives alongside a clearer identity: it’s a co-op, systems-driven playground where roles are fluid rather than fixed. There are no hard classes; a four-person crew can improvise moment-to-moment—one player reroutes power while another patches hull breaches, a third EVA-sabotages an enemy cruiser, and a fourth defends corridors on foot. Solo play is supported, but the design cadence encourages squad problem-solving.

The trailer emphasizes seamless transitions. There’s no hard cut between sim and shooter: you’ll go from star-map decisions to zero-G repairs to corridor skirmishes in one continuous flow. Ship stewardship is constant—scavenge parts, decide whether to repair, upgrade, or expand subsystems, and tune your build toward speed, survivability, or firepower. That elasticity is the pitch: every encounter becomes a quick negotiation about what the ship—and the team—needs next.

Platforms and rollout: PC launches first via Steam Early Access on Sept. 19. An Xbox Series X|S version is also planned, with the console storefront already live.

If the trailer is any indication, Jump Space is built for those “all hands” moments—where a fire on Deck B, a boarding party in the hangar, and a failing reactor all demand a quick plan and a clean escape burn.
