idntt's Unevermet Unit Makes a Bold K-pop Debut
In a dazzling step toward redefining expansive K-pop group ambition, MODHAUS’s highly anticipated mega boy band idntt (pronounced “identity”) officially launched its first sub-unit, unevermet, on August 11, 2025, at 6 PM KST with their self-titled mini-album unevermet.
Conceived as part of a grand strategy similar to tripleS, idntt is structured into three rotating mini-groups—unevermet, yesweare, and itsnotover—each comprising eight members, with potential reshuffling via fan votes through a system nicknamed “Gravity.”
The album boasts a triple title-track concept featuring “You Never Met,” “Storm,” and “BOYtude,” each spotlighting different facets of the group’s energy and identity. “You Never Met” particularly stands out as a glitchy, electronic-infused, edgy track that pivots between the members’ diverse vocal styles and techniques, ultimately coming together in a chant-heavy chorus that unifies them as a fun, balanced unit.
Alongside the three title songs, the tracklist includes “Instant Chemistry,” “EGO: Limitless,” and “Adolescence,” each teased in a highlight medley ahead of release. The group’s debut was further cemented with a high-energy showcase at the Blue Square SOL Travel Hall in Seoul’s Hannam-dong on the same day, introducing the sub-unit’s performance dynamic to fans and media alike.
With a unique blend of audience interactivity, ambitious structure, and theatrical flair, unevermet’s debut feels less like an opening act and more like a declaration of vibrant identity. As MODHAUS pushes K-pop into a more participatory era, unevermet is poised to set the tone—not just for idntt’s future, but for how large-scale groups can innovate within the industry.
